レクサスのDセグメント2ドアクーペ『RC』ハイエンドモデルである『RC F』のスペシャルモデル開発車両が、ニュルブルクリンク北コースで高速テストを開始しました。
このプロトタイプは、10月の東京モーターショーで初公開が噂される「RC F」高性能モデルと思われます。カーボン製フロントリップスポイラー、サイドフラップ、リアデュフューザーなど専用のエアロパーツや、リアフェンダー後部にはエアアウトレットが装備されます。
パワーユニットには、5リットルV型8気筒に代わる4リットルV型8気筒も噂されており、最高出力は500ps以上とも予想されています。カーボン製パーツによる軽量化も図られ、パフォーマンスも大幅に向上するはずです。
10月東京モーターショーでワールドプレミアされた後、2018年春以降の発売が期待出来そうです。
